An introduction to assembly language and reverse engineering, including relationship among machine language, assemblers, disassemblers, compilers and interpreters. This course provides requisite skills for computer forensics, malware analysis and cryptology. 3 Lecture hours. 2 Lab hours. Credit may be earned for CS 312 or CS 212 but not both. Prerequisite: Grade of C or higher in CS 140 or CYBR 210. Offered: Spring.
