This hands-on, introductory course requires no prior programming experience, offering a comprehensive foundation in computing concepts and object-oriented programming using Python. Will explore essential programming principles, including variables, data types, input and output, control structures, functions, classes, abstraction, and exception handling. Integrates the latest tools and techniques, to adapt to emerging trends in computing. Topics such as program design, debugging, quality software engineering practices, and security considerations are emphasized. Real-world examples from diverse fields provide practical applications of programming concepts, while discussion on leveraging modern technologies. Provides a strong foundation in Python programming for further studies or careers in technology. Prerequisite: Grade of C or higher in CS 100 or credit by exam waiver.
