Criminal intelligence is a core function within government agencies such as the FBI and the DHS as well as fusion centers located at the state and local level, yet it is not well understood by the public at large. Through engagement with readings, class discussion, professionals in the field and a realistic analytical exercise, students will leave this course both better prepared for possible work in law enforcement or the Intelligence Community, as well as a deeper understanding and appreciation for the constitutional democracy. 3 Credit hours.
