Catalog description

This course builds on foundational biological, psychological and sociological theories covered in Introduction to Criminology to explain different forms of crime in society. Students may explore violent, property, corporate, political, victimless and environmental crime through a criminological lens which also includes methods of studying crime and offender and victim characteristics. The course emphasizes collection and analysis of data to test advanced criminological theory. Prerequisite: CRIM 101 or CJ 201, grade of C or higher. Offered: Fall, Spring.
