What is the civic role of media in a free society? Should all free speech be protected? Should all information be shareable or is privacy needed in some cases? Students deepen their understanding of morally responsible communication in journalism, broadcasting, marketing and other media specialties by investigating these issues in our digital age. If taken previously as a topics course, no credit can be received. Offered: Fall.
