Catalog description

What does media do to us? What are the powerful, existential risks and rewards when it comes to interacting with it? This experiential course allows student to learn how to investigate trends, explore problems and find solutions to current topics in media. Students will learn how to design and conduct a variety of research projects and experiments to help excavate how media works and how they directly impact our world. You'll engage with various texts and case studies, learn to apply mixed-method research strategies and come out of this course with the skills needed to succeed across different professional fields.
