Catalog description
Using reporting and writing in the journalism tradition, this experiential learning course will allow students the opportunity to hone vital skills for succeeding in all phases of their professional life. With a hands-on newsroom environment as our learning space, students will identify, pitch and construct ambitious and engaging projects from the ground up. As a result, students will enhance their skills in complex problem solving, individual and group work and effective communication, especially in writing, while building valuable portfolios of intellectual and creative work. If taken previously as a topics course or CM 208 Journalism II, no credit can be received. Offered: Fall, Spring.
