Catalog description

Students will explore various facets of Chinese culture and society. Topics may include but are not limited to China's social and political system, military history, social phenomena, development of Artificial Intelligence in China, China's rich cultural heritage such as Chinese cuisine, Traditional Chinese Medicine or popular culture. Students will advance their Chinese language proficiency through the examination of primary and secondary sources. May be repeated for credit with a different topic. Taught in Chinese. Prerequisite: CN 205CN205 or placement test score of 400, or higher. 3 Lecture hours per week. Offered: Fall, Spring.
