Chinese Media and Culture explores China's dynamic media landscape, from news and social media to films and TV shows. Students will learn key Chinese media vocabulary and analyze authentic content while discussing topics like censorship, social media trends, media narratives and influence operations. The course provides insight into the cultural values, beliefs and perspectives that shape Chinese media today. This course is taught in English. There is no previous Chinese experience required for this course. 3 Lecture hours. Offered: Fall, Spring.
