This advanced course explores the complex process of investigating deaths from a medico-legal perspective, integrating both the medical and legal dimensions of forensic inquiry. Through case analyses, applied exercises and simulated investigations, students will gain practical insight into the investigative, scientific and human aspects of working with death. Designed for students pursuing careers in law enforcement, forensic science or criminal investigation, this course offers an in-depth and multidisciplinary understanding of one of the most critical and demanding areas of criminal justice practice. Prerequisite: CJ 101 or CJ345. Offered: Spring.
