Catalog description
This course immerses students in the dynamic process of crime scene investigation, from the first officer's response to the final case documentation and courtroom testimony. Through hands on practical exercises and simulated investigations, students will apply professional techniques used in real world settings, including photography, sketching, evidence recovery and report writing. By the end of the course, students will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the investigative process and the critical role that forensic science plays in solving crimes and supporting the justice system. Prerequisite: CJ 101. Offered: Fall.
