Human Trafficking

Catalog description

This course introduces students to the study of human trafficking as a national and global issue. Through case studies and applied learning, students will evaluate how force, fear and coercion operate within trafficking contexts and assess the responses of governments, law enforcement and advocacy organizations. By the end of the course, students will be able to apply criminological and interdisciplinary perspectives to real world challenges, preparing them for advanced study, internships and careers that engage with this pressing human rights issue. Prerequisite: CJ 101. Offered: Spring.
