Catalog description
A comprehensive career guide to getting hired and working in the field of criminal justice while correcting misconceptions about the profession. This course covers all elements of the criminal justice system including opportunities in law enforcement, courts and correctional systems as well as other criminal justice related career paths. Attention is given to high impact practices and developing real world skill sets such as networking, producing cover letters and resumes, ethics and professionalism in the field, mental and physical wellness, advance training, best practices and technical writing. Credit will be earned once for CJ 300 Professionalism in Criminal Justice and CJ 104 Professionalism in Criminal Justice. Offerings: Fall, Spring.
