Catalog description

A course in the theory and practice of plane surveying. Horizontal and vertical control, design of circular and parabolic curves, tachometry, construction surveys and earthwork quantities are covered in lecture. Fieldwork presents the practical applications of lecture material with the use of transits, tapes, levels, electronic distance measuring devices and theodolites. 2 Lecture hours and 3 Lab hours. Prerequisite: MA 107, MA 108, MA121, MA 122, MA 223 or MA 232 or Placement into MA 108, 121, 232.
