Catalog description

Introduction to the biological mechanisms governing heredity, variation, and the molecular basis of life. Consideration is also given to genetic disease, gene editing, and applications in genetic research. A conceptual understanding of genetic mechanisms enables hands-on exploration of genetic phenomena and analysis through lab activities. 3 Lecture hours and 2 Lab hours. Prerequisites: D- or higher in BI 101 or BI 102. Offered: Fall.
