Introductory Biology: Ecology Evolution

Catalog description
Students will develop a foundation in genetics, evolution, ecology and the diversity of life and learn about the latest advances in applications of biology, such as biotechnology, sustainability and genomics. Laboratory exercises place emphasis on experiential learning of the scientific method, laboratory techniques and computational skills. This introductory biology class is designed to prepare students for upper level science courses and is most appropriate for students who are pursuing majors, minors or other degrees in scientific or other technical field. 3 Lecture hours and 2 Lab hours. Offered: Spring.
