Catalog description

An exploration of various aspects of American Deaf culture, with a focus on ASL film, media and literature. Will examine a wide range of videos produced by Deaf artists covering classic and modern Deaf folklore. Will focus on ASL storytelling and narratives, ASL poetry, Deaf humor, theater and cinema. No prior knowledge of American Sign Language, taught with spoken English. Offered: Occasionally.
