National Security Affairs/Preparation for Active Duty

A continuation of AS 411 focusing on the foundations to understand their role as a military officer and how they are directly tied to our National Security and an overview of the complex social and political issues facing the military profession. Topics: officer-ship as a profession, military justice, civil-military relations, preparation for active duty and current issues affecting the military profession. 3 Lecture hours. Corequisite: Students pursing an Air Force commission must also register for AS 412 LL1 (which includes 2 hours of Leadership Laboratory and up to three hours of Physical Training, weekly). Prerequisite: AS 411. Grade of C- or higher. Offered: Spring.
