Surveys global architectural history and theory from the 1920s through the 1980s, including modernism and its variants, receptions, reactions, and critiques. Introduces architectural criticism and research methods for the built environment. Includes case studies, substantial research and writing, and discussion of texts in seminar format. 3 Lecture hours. Courses do not need to be taken sequentially. Restriction: MArch III majors. Offered: Spring.
