Catalog description
An in-depth study of the role of the surgical technologist and review for the certification examination. The course examines liability and legal issues of practice, adapting critical thinking skills to a variety of practice settings, effective team and professional behaviors, continuing education, and ethical issues. Practice on computer simulations is required. Prerequisite: Instructor Approved Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Field Hours: 45
