Advanced Rehab Concepts in PT

Catalog description

This course explores physical therapy management concepts across pediatric, geriatric, pelvic floor/womens health, lymphedema, amputee, and other special populations. Emphasis is placed on analyzing disease mechanisms, interpreting evidence-based research, and applying functional implications within the PTA scope of practice. Students will develop professional communication, ethical reasoning, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills while examining the PTAs role in promoting safe, effective, and patient-centered care across diverse settings and populations. This course requires a grade of C or higher.
