Catalog description

This course provides an overview of therapeutic exercise principles, including range of motion, stretching, strength training, aquatics, manual therapy, massage, gait training, chest physical therapy, aerobic conditioning, and balance training for disorders commonly encountered across the lifespan. Students develop critical thinking skills to select and implement appropriate interventions under the supervision of a physical therapist, along with effective verbal and written communication skills. Through hands-on laboratory instruction, students perform, apply, and demonstrate understanding of these principles in simulated patient care scenarios.
