Basic Patient Care Lab

Catalog description

This lab course provides students with the opportunity to practice and refine concepts introduced in PHT 1200 through hands-on application with simulated patients. Emphasis is placed on the use of equipment commonly found in physical therapy settings, proper body mechanics for moving, lifting, and transferring patients, wheelchair management, aseptic techniques, and the fundamental principles of wound care.¯This course requires a grade of C or higher.
