Catalog description

This course provides students with the essential communication and professional skills required for success in contemporary business environments. Students will develop proficiency in oral, written, and digital communication across diverse business settings, demonstrating the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders. Emphasis is placed on active listening, empathy, teamwork, conflict resolution, and professional etiquette to foster stakeholder satisfaction and organizational success. Through practical exercises, case studies, and project-based learning, students will learn to research, interpret, and communicate business information effectively, prepare and deliver presentations, and apply business-level writing standards in all correspondence. Additionally, the course equips students with essential employability skills, including resume and cover letter preparation, job search strategies, and interview techniques.
