Catalog description

A study of English literature from the Old English period, Beowulf, through the late Eighteenth century, the Age of Enlightenment, focusing on major works and their authors with an emphasis upon the literature as a significant reflection of and contribution to the political, cultural, social, religious, and economic milieu of each age. This course may be used as a Humanities credit. Course readings will be drawn from the British literary tradition.
