This course focuses on developing fundamental jazz dance techniques and vocabulary, emphasizing alignment, coordination, expressive dynamics, and rhythmic interpretation through practical combinations. Historical background and major contributors to jazz dance are explored to provide cultural context. The course includes performance, research, and individual projects to enhance technical skill and artistic understanding. May be taken up to four (4) times for credit.
