Community Psychology

Catalog description

Community psychology examines social problems and community well-being by integrating applied psychology with sociology, ecology, community development, public policy, prevention science, and cultural anthropology. Specific attention is given to environmental influences, situational-contextual factors, mental health, social justice advocacy and action, and empowerment of local populations. Prerequisite: PSYC 1013 - General Psychology
