Catalog description
This course is a survey of the field of counseling psychology including an introduction into the major theoretical schools of counseling and how these theories aid in the construction of personality theory. At times, this course will involve the synthesis of important elements of theory and Scripture. The student will also be exposed to various fields where counseling skills are applied: Career, School, Grief/Bereavement, Substance Abuse, Groups, etc. Prerequisite: PSYC 1013 - General Psychology
