Catalog description

Curriculum and methods of secondary physical education and health. Practical applications of educational theory, health and sports content with emphasis on preparation of resource units and directed teaching. This course introduces principles that focus on the development of physical, social, emotional, and mental skills for the secondary student. Includes theory and practice of adaptation in teaching strategies, curriculum, and service delivery for special needs populations. Prerequisite: admission into the Teacher Education program. Course taken in sequence as required by the School of Education
