Catalog description

Focuses on diverse cultural perspectives in health and illness. Prepares learners to value diversity, client preferences and determinants of health unique to the individual. Introduces transcultural theory and nursing practice through exploration of clients’ lived experiences and connections to others and their cultural community. Examines culturally sensitive solutions by recognizing the impact of health disparities and social determinants of health in selected global communities. See Tuition and Fees for required fee amount.
