Catalog description

Introduces foundational nursing concepts and principles for the professional nurse. Explores fundamental nursing knowledge, skills, and attitudes to promote physical, mental, cultural, and spiritual health and wellness in the care of individuals across the health continuum. Introduces decision-making and prioritization skills to assist students in developing and applying clinical judgment principles based on best practice required for delivery of individualized person-centered care. A one-time, non-refundable RN pre-testing package fee is required. See Tuition and Fees for required fee amount. Concurrent: NURS 3945 - Therapeutic Nursing Interventions I and NURS 3522 - Introduction to Pharmacological Principles
