Catalog description

Introduces foundational theory in health promotion and disease and injury prevention. Uses the nursing process to identify priority interventions to promote health across the age continuum. Applies principles of client teaching to identify effective strategies to promote health of population. Introduces the concept of health equity and social determinants of health. Prerequisite: Admission into Nursing Program. Concurrent: NURS 3345 - Fundamentals of Nursing , NURS 3945 - Therapeutic Nursing Interventions I , and NURS 3522 - Introduction to Pharmacological Principles
