Catalog description

This course applies concepts and skills from prior courses in the theory sequence to topics such as 9th, 11 th , and 13 th chords, altered dominants, and chromatic mediants. It also equips students to analytically study the techniques of arranging music with chromatic harmony. Prerequisite: MUAP 2582 - Basic Computer Notation ; a grade of C+ or higher in MUSI 2113 - Music Theory III or permission of instructor. Concurrent: MUSI 2141 - Ear Training & Sight-Singing IV
