Surveys the elements of music: notation, scales, tonality, key, modes, intervals and transposition, chords, cadences and non-harmonic tones, and voice-leading. Prerequisite: 80% score on Music Entrance Exam or a grade of C+ or higher in MUSI 1033 - Introduction to Theory . Concurrent: MUSI 1131 - Ear Training & Sight-Singing I
