Catalog description

This course introduces the student to western music notation and music dictation in preparation for the Music Theory sequence. As a result of completing this course with a grade of B- or higher, the student should be able to progress normally through the entire theory sequence. (Placement based on the students score on the music theory placement exam.) (The course is limited to students planning to continue into MUSI 1133 Written Theory I and MUSI 1131 Ear Training & Sight-Singing I) Meets a Journey Deeper requirement
