Catalog description

This is a foundation course for students majoring in Elementary Education. This course includes developing an understanding of number systems, number sense and algebra. Equally important, the course emphasizes a look at problem solving, reasoning and communicating and the building of positive mathematical attitudes. Prerequisite: Instructor Permission if not an Elementary Education major, SAT MATH score of 480/RSAT MATH score of 510/SAT MATH score of 480/ACT MATH score of 20, or two years of high school algebra, or a satisfactory score on a math placement exam, or MATH 1003 - Intermediate Algebra
