Survey of Design Methods

Catalog description

Explores fundamental design concepts and methods for a variety of types of user interfaces, including software and hardware interaction, physical device interfaces, visual communication design, and industrial design. The overall design process will be explored, and design collaboration will be introduced. Students will have opportunities to explore contextual research, ideation, conceptual design, design variations, design iteration, and design communication. Prerequisite: HCDE 2183 - Introduction to Design Thinking and/or ARTE 2513 - Graphic Design
