Catalog description

Introduction to Electronics Technology is an introductory course designed to provide students with a foundation in the basic principles and practices of electrical work. Students will learn essential skills and knowledge related to electrical tools, materials, safety practices, and fundamental electrical systems. The Associate of Applied Science in Automation and Electronics is designed to train students in theory and practical skills that prepare them for jobs in the maintenance of common electrical and electronic devices and instruments. The emphasis covers fundamentals in installation, diagnosis, and repair of computer systems; digital communication equipment; industrial control systems to include motor controllers, program logic controllers, sensors, and robotics; communication systems; and various advanced electronic equipment/systems.
