A general introduction to the basic concepts, theories, and perspectives of sociology. Topics include the nature of society and the foundations of social interaction and social life, including social groups, culture, social class, social institutions and social change. Emphasis is placed on current research in sociology, globalization, diversity and multiculturalism.
