Catalog description

In this course, students will gain hands-on practical experience in applying engineering principles, theories, thought processes and problem-solving skills to the design and prototyping of a physical product. Students will develop skills by working in teams, working with open-ended problems, identifying needs and opportunities and making appropriate engineering assumptions and decisions. Students are expected to identify a product idea/concept, develop and analyze the design, identify criteria for improvements, reach the prototype stage, and communicate the final solution.
