Catalog description

A phlebotomist is an important member of health care. Phlebotomists are responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients. With proper training, phlebotomists then send these specimens to a clinical laboratory for analysis. The information obtained by the lab after receiving these samples provides physicians with vital information used in making diagnoses, following progress, and treating patients. The phlebotomist can then further their education as a medical laboratory technician and other field in the allied health and medical fields.
