Introduction to surgical technologist profession and practice. Applies principles of microbiology to decontamination, inspection, sterilization, packaging and storage of reusable surgical instruments and devices. Prerequisite: EMT 104 or equivalent; DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card; immunization record. One lecture; one lab.
