Catalog description

The theory and practice of construction work performed with mortar, brick, block (concrete masonry units), reinforced brick, reinforced concrete masonry, forming of structural concrete, and concrete placement. Additionally, explores the chemical characteristics of Portland cement based products, common tools used, terminology, and methodologies used to work with aforementioned materials. Prerequisites: CON 107 or CON 102 or instructor permission. Two lecture; two lab.
