Introduces the basic principles of dental care for common domestic species. Includes dental anatomy, nomenclature, common oral pathology, record systems, instrumentation, dental prophylaxis, common dental treatments, intraoral dental radiography, and local anesthesia techniques. Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 4 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
