Surveys techniques used in the veterinary hospital laboratory, including hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, cytology, immunology, clinical chemistry, serology, and necropsy. Emphasizes the use of microscope, automated laboratory equipment, and modern diagnostic procedures. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
