Catalog description

Focuses on the theory and application of occupational therapy in the evaluation and treatment of developmental dysfunction. Includes a survey of conditions which cause developmental disability across the life span, with particular emphasis on children and the elderly. Investigates the role of the occupational therapist in assessment, planning and implementation of treatment programs. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
