Provides instruction in lighting terminology including sources of light, lamp types, fixture types and controls. Explore lighting design using layering techniques and lighting calculations that are used to determine lighting needs for a variety of spaces. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
