Power Distribution Systems

Catalog description

Introduces transmission and distribution of electrical power. Includes application of transformers, distribution and over-current protection devices, substations, switchboards, feeders, bus-ways, motor control centers, generators, motors, and troubleshooting techniques associated with these systems and devices. Lecture 2 hours. Lab 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
