Catalog description

Examines the clinical applications within the specialty of abdominal sonography including interpretation of normal and abnormal sonographic patters, pathology, related clinical signs and symptoms, normal variants and clinical laboratory tests. Includes laboratory sessions on basic scanning techniques and protocols. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
