Catalog description

This course integrates reading, writing, and speaking for learners to show control of basic English skills. Learners who successfully complete the course will understand basic active reading strategies, basic views on communication, basic writing strategies, basic vocabulary development strategies, basic research strategies, basic understanding of grammar, and basic command of technology. Learners who complete College & Career Readiness 1 – Reading A will transition to College & Career Readiness 1 – Reading B.
